The Future Of Eyelash Regrowth Products- What To Expect

In the past 10 years eyelash regrowth products have been appearing in many different forms to suit the changing needs of the consumer. You can buy anything from serums to conditioners, or even eyelash transplants but what can we expect for the future?

Anyone who is on a quest for super long, luscious lashes will have noticed that they are spoilt for choice. Eyelash regrowth products are the current trend and are very effective for growing long lashes, but the results are not permanent. As soon as you stop using an eyelash growth product any new lashes you have gained from using it will drop out. This major disadvantage to these products was the reason behind the surgical procedure eyelash transplants.

Eyelash transplants are more expensive and the results may not be very impressive compared to those achieved by eyelash regrowth products. The only difference is that when eyelash transplants are a success, the end result is permanent super long lashes. The only disadvantage to eyelash transplants is that the price (usually $3000- $4000 per eye) is not affordable to most people and for some customers the results are not worth the price they paid. At the moment eyelash growth products are more popular because they are more affordable.

In the future I expect to see many more eyelash regrowth products appearing and I suspect that scientists are working on something more permanent. Eyelash growth products may get cheaper as new alternative eyelash growth formulas will be created.

At this point in time eyelash transplants are not as effective as they could be. Hair follicles are taken from the head and inserted into the eyelid individually. Approximately 24 lashes are inserted during this procedure but for some customers this may not be enough. Considering the amount of money you are paying for this procedure they should insert as many lashes that will be needed in order to give you thicker lashes. Twenty-four is not enough in my opinion, which is why some customers are disappointed with the results.

Hopefully in the future of eyelash regrowth products the disadvantages that exist now will be gone. We will just have to be patient and hope that something better comes along.
